Who Is A STANDUP Company..
Birth of the STANDUP
13 March 2019, on a flight from Sydney, Australia, Kirk was juggling his laptop, food and trying to read emails. Unable to find a spot to ‘stand up’ his phone, he looked around to see most passengers standing up their phones against various items, drink bottles, food, bags etc, you’ve all done it. He grabbed a pen and paper and sketched an idea. That’s when the STANDUP was born.
Dodgy Props
On arriving home that night, Kirk found his wife Nicola in the laundry, her phone propped up, unsuccessfully, against a bottle of laundry detergent, cordless drill in hand while watching an instructional youTube video as she attempted to repair the washing machine – true story!
Asking why she wasn’t using one of the plastic ones some company had given them, she explained that the stand covers the bottom of the phone, so you can’t flick between apps, plus she couldn’t find it. This is when Kirk knew this was a STANDUP idea.

A Family Affair
Kirk also introduced the idea to his brother Ty, and after 3+ years of design, redesign, trial and testing, The Original Stand Up, for landscape viewing and The Stand Up Straight for scrolling in portrait, were released.
We fixed a problem
Our goal is to fix the problem billions of us have and make it portable, inexpensive, simple, and fun. Our products are design to standard printing sizes making it easy for businesses to take their existing promotional material and simply re-imagine it into A Stand Up. We invite businesses to stand with us and promote their brands, products and services on the Stand Up.
Changing the face of paper marketing
Some people think this is just a piece of cardboard but it is way more than that. What started out as a simple need on a plane trip one day, turned into a universal idea that quickly changed the face of paper marketing and in turn, the smartphone experience.
Three ordinary folks with an outSTANDing idea
We aren’t a corporate giant, we are just three ordinary folks from South Australia that had a stand up idea, and invested hard earned savings to design, print and patent the product worldwide!
